The Fat Lady Is Almost Singing

The 2018 Salmon Season in the Douglaston Salmon Run is starting to wind down on the lower end of the river.  It's been a good run overall with a few good runs and a steady trickle everyday making everyone happy.  Recent rains will help provide some cover for the steelhead entering the river and flush out some of the leaves that have started to drop already setting up some great fishing.  My November is booked solid and early December is getting there, so If you want to get in on some great steelhead fishing in mid December when the crowds start to disappear contact me about a trip now before it's too late.

“Gearing Up for Fall”

You maybe ready for the fall run, but is your gear?  Checkout the "Gearing Up For Fall" article I recently wrote on Echo Fly Fishing.   Looking to book a trip?  Shoot me a email to discuss one.

Fall Salmon Run

Reports from the lake this summer have been incredible, charter captains are report easy limits most days. Looks like another great salmon run this year. Now is the time to book your fall dates if you haven't already. Limited dates available.

Ausable Report

The West Branch of the Ausable has been fishing pretty good  recently.  Water flows are dropping to summer time lows, water temps are mid 50's-60 still.  Tight line nymphing has been the most productive technique by far, getting down and dirty with nymphs has produced some incredible client days along with some quality fish. Best patterns nymphing have been: Frenchie, Pat's Rubber Leg Stone, Sexy Walts worm and a Rainbow Warrior in sizes 8 to 16.   Looking to book a trip, contact us here.

It’s a Wrap

Steelhead Season is a wrap. I want to thank all my clients for a great season and looking forward to seeing you all next season.  If you haven't already booked your dates for the upcoming fall, now is the time to book your dates so you don't miss out on a great season.

Ausable Trout Trips

Prime dates available for trout trips on the West Branch of the Ausable. The Ausable is known for it's great pocket water and awesome dry fly fishing.  For more information or to book a trip you can contact us here.
