Salmon are being caught on the lake from 60′ fow out to 100′ over the weekend.  Yesterday we saw almost 2″ of rain and this morning the Pineville flow gauge shows 512 cfs, this will send a few that were in close up the river….  I did talk to a friend fishing the DSR this morning and he reported a few small pods of fishing were moving thru down low.

Flow has been update with the rain: Until 8:00 PM today, 185 CFS
From 8:00 PM today until 9:00 PM tomorrow, Tue, 1,800 CFS

I do have some Prime Salmon Dates still open, they won’t last long now with the fishing being close  - Give me a call 315-298-3949 or e-mail me to book a trip.

Since the tempature has warmed up and were not in the single digit’s like we were a few weeks ago the fishing has picked up some.  The mid-lower river has opened up and some angler’s are hiking into spot’s that were unfished for a couple of weeks.

Best results have been getting to a spot where you know there’s fish and wait them out.  Lighten up you tippet and keep changing your offerings.  Warmer temps have also brought out the crowds since everyone has cabin fever.

Water Flow:  Until 11:59pm, Fri Jan 22, 285cfs.

Heavy fishing pressure over the weekend combined with low water and blues skies sure slowed the bite down as soon as the sun comes up.  Key to a good day after is keep moving looking for hot fish in the fast water.

Water flow: Until 9:00 PM today, Mon, 335 CFS.

Weather looks like partly sunny the rest of the week with no rain in sight.  Time to start doing a rain dance.

Fishing over the weekend was very good for us. On Saturday we floated from Altmar to RT2A and we never fished anything below the Trestle and we called it a day before noon. I’m not one to post numbers but we landed 20+ fish, we fished only small pockets or the drop off’s at the heads of spots. Blue eggs sacks under a float we there ticket again. I have to thank Justin (A.K.A Metalhead) for the steak and shrimp streamide lunch. Sunday we planned only to fish a couple of hours we were 4/4 including me landing a nice #13.5 Male in one spot. Water lever is still 750 CFS til 12/11 then 335CFS til 12/14.
