The Fall Salmon run is well under way and despite low water it has been pretty good. There has been some good pushes of fish over the past week with some brown trout and steelhead mixed in. It's almost time to breakout the two handers and start swinging, hopefully mother nature starts dumping some rain us soon. Open Dates - November 22, December 13,19,20,27. TROUT Fishing on the Ausable has been very good recently, nymphing during the day or chasing hatches for some dry fly fun towards evening have been productive. The streams of central NY are fishing good as well and the Salmon River received a small stocking of some Browns that have been fun to catch especially on trout spey rods. NYS has put a temporary ban on guiding in New York under the "PAUSE Executive Order" until further notice. While we have already stopped doing any trips before this went into effect for everyone's safety, we're still are booking trips for the fall. This it a tough time for all of us and I've been reaching to clients about their dates booked and deposits and I want to thank all my clients who have rescheduled or have been generous to allow me to keep the deposit.
