Salmon are being caught on the lake from 60′ fow out to 100′ over the weekend. Yesterday we saw almost 2″ of rain and this morning the Pineville flow gauge shows 512 cfs, this will send a few that were in close up the river…. I did talk to a friend fishing the DSR this morning and he reported a few small pods of fishing were moving thru down low.
Flow has been update with the rain: Until 8:00 PM today, 185 CFS

Heavy fishing pressure over the weekend combined with low water and blues skies sure slowed the bite down as soon as the sun comes up. Key to a good day after is keep moving looking for hot fish in the fast water.
Water flow: Until 9:00 PM today, Mon, 335 CFS.
Weather looks like partly sunny the rest of the week with no rain in sight. Time to start doing a rain dance.

November open dates: 15, 20, 21, 27, 28, 29. Plenty of dates open from December thru March. Those of you who didn’t rebook your April and May dates yet, please do so ASAP as it’s filling up quickly.

Saturday we saw the first good push of fish up the river. The DSR saw steady action all day, friends who were down there said it was nice size run of fish for September 5th. Those same fish were up thru the Ball park area on Sunday morning. Fishing on the lake is good with most of the fish in 100′ range along Mexico Bay.

Fishing in the river remains slow with just a couple of fish entering the river each day. Look for possibly a few more coming in with the water release this weekend. Fishing on the lake has been good one day slow the next, winds over the weekend made it unfishable for most guys. Saturday afternoon we went out for two hours when the lake laid down some and went 1/1. Then we beat feet back in before the waves picked up again. We were fishing in 60′ - 70′ of water and marking a decent number of fish, most had their heads in the mud though. With the winds switching around I would think the fish will move back out over alittle deeper water this week.

Friday & Saturday we fished hard to get 6+ each day. Friday all the fish came on beads and Saturday once the water came up all they wanted were egg sacks. On Saturday there was a lot of fishing pressure on the river from both boats and bank angler’s getting out to enjoy the nice weather. I will put up some pic’s later.
Until 9:00 PM today, 1,150 CFS
From 9:00 PM today until 9:00 PM tomorrow, Tue, 1,800 CFS
The water tempature was hanging around 32 & 33 both day’s.
I have plenty of date’s open in March, April and early May are filling in. Call me @ (315)-298-3949 or e-mail me to get in some great Steelhead fishing we are having this year.
